Best Saigon Cafes in D1 and D3
Nap coffee

Try this comfy coffee spot for its chilled and laid-back atmosphere. Its egg coffees and décor are something special. Both spots are hidden away and not easy to find, but they’re worth the wander around. The one near Ben Thanh market is discretely found after walking into a quiet alleyway. Be sure to

The coffees here are definitely more expensive than the average, but you’ll have a wide-selection of choices to pick from. You could get an egg coffee, an affogato, or a Caphe Sua Da with some snacks.

Caphe Co Ba

Self-described as a place that tries to relive the past, it’s clear that Ca Phe Co Ba has achieved its goal. Decorated in a traditional southern Vietnamese style, the place is a beautiful place to relax.
There are three floors to relax on. The top two have balconies to enjoy the view below.
It’s conveniently located too:
Nguyen Hue Walking Street and Bitexco financial tower are a short walk away.
There’s a wide selection of drinks and dishes to try, such as the strawberry smoothies as well as a selection of coffees.
Despite the beautiful aesthetic, the prices of the drinks are relatively affordable.

Nomad Cold Brew Coffee

Nomad has a vibe that’s almost as chill as its drinks. This relaxing atmosphere, coupled with their signature cold brew coffees, provide a relaxed start to the day, or even a hip feel for evening get-togethers.
Their nitrogen infused cold brew coffee apparently lets you absorb your caffeine fix faster.
For me:
It just tastes really nice.
Their coffees come in a range of different flavours, such as lychee or ginger, and are reasonably priced – starting at 65K VND (3USD).
Mellower Coffee

Definitely at the higher-end of the cafe scene here. The art-deco interior and the pricy drinks are evidence of this, but sometimes it’s worth splurging on something special.
The central location and atmosphere lends itself well to fancy meetups and business lunches:
There’s a selection of sandwiches and other snacks to choose from to power you through the day.

The Running Bean

There’s strong competition for best coffee spots in and around Nguyen Hue Walking Street. The Running Bean comes across as one of the best. It’s combination of an industrial construction as well as its modern aesthetic makes for a surprisingly enjoyable atmosphere. The music is as smooth as the coffees on offer, making it one of the most relaxing places to check out in the area.

There’s a selection of traditional coffees to try, as well as the more unconventionally brewed methods, such as a V60/Kalita, Aeropress and a Chemex. I opted for their speciality – Sữa Tươi Cà Phê (TRB Coffee Milk) and had no regrets.
